Turner Little’s Response to Panorama Allegations
In November 2012, a BBC Panorama programme aired which included footage of a speculative business meeting between Turner Little Ltd and a potential client, Mr Donnelly. Mr Donnelly was in fact an undercover journalist. Turner Little has processes which involve extensive compliance checks with all potential clients. In the case of Mr Donnelly, he would have failed to comply with these and this would have resulted in being rejected by Turner Little Ltd.
Turner Little refuted the allegations made in the programme and an internal audit and checks were carried out to ensure our procedures and documentation complied with best practise and met regulatory obligations – which it did.
Turner Little is a company with a long history of full compliance with these obligations. The meeting with the reporter was purely a fact-finding exercise and at no point did our company look to engage further with the client.
